6-Week Intensive

Over the course of six weeks, students will harness the power of body and voice as integral instruments for performance. Through collaborative exploration and experimentation, they will unlock a new connection with text. By the end,hey will emerge equipped to craft a performance piece, empowered with their newfound ability to play their body and voice like virtuosos, and ready to take to the KC Fringe stage with confidence, creativity, and agency.
*Small Group Workshop. Space is limited to 10 students.

The Body & Voice KC works with Lessac Kinesensics, a holistic approach to voice and body work, for the benefit of all students. With the facilitaor guiding the individuals through the work, the individual can develop their own relationship to their voice. Classes range from private coaching, small group workshops for actors, and accent exploration/ acquisition.
Jamie Morrow is currently a Certified Practitioner in the Lessac work, and is pursing her Facilitator Certification.
Meet
Jamie Morrow
Lessac Certified Practitioner, Screen Actor, Commercial Actor & Audiobook Narrator
Jamie Morrow has worked as an actor in Los Angeles, New York, London, and of course her hometown, Kansas City. Much of Morrow's experience has been acquired on film and commercial sets, and her newest ventures into the world of Audiobook Narration.
Her unique training from her on set experience to her professional training allows for Morrow to approach each student with a keen eye for what the individual needs are. Her training includes Playhouse West Los Angeles, a Meisner Training Studio and Lessac Kinesensics with Master Teacher Crystal Robbins at Santa Monica College with continued study at the Lessac Summer Training in the Summer of 2022. Currently, Morrow is working towards her Lessac Facilitator Certification under the mentorship of Nancy Krebs, Lessac Master Teacher and owner of The Voiceworks Studio.
Some of Morrow's film credits include Mia and the Dragon Princess (STEAM), A Holiday Chance (BET), and Paradise Cove (AMAZON). Her other credits include the World Premier production of "Flood" by Mashuq Mushtaq Deen at The Kansas City Repertory Theater, "That Day in Tucson" at the Metropolitan Ensemble Theater, and her nominated performance in the World Premier of "The Seven Ravens" at Santa Monica College.

Affordability
While classes and coaching may not be free the goal is to provide opportunities to learn to more individuals and artists in the community.
Several times throughout the year there will be opportunities for free or pay what you can classes.

My goal primary goal in working with clients is they begin to trust themselves. I desire to create a collaborative environment in which we can learn from each other, make discoveries, and find new ways of connection.
